| SMALLMOUTH YELLOWFISH
Flies to use Smallmouth normally feed on nymphs that are dislodged from rocks on the river bottom, but will also take hatching insects rising to the surface and also during the stage of wing drying or adult. Most flies commonly used by flyfishermen for Grayling and Trout will also work well when targeting Smallmouth Yellowfish.Skills You don’t have to be an expert fly caster to catch a Smallmouth Yellowfish. Mostly short casts will be required. When nymphing for Yellows delicate presentations are not required and thus makes it quite easy for a novice flyfisherman to catch a Yellowfish. As an added bonus Czech nymphing is a very effective technique for catching Yellowfish and minimal casting skill is required. Czech nymphing puts the catching of Smallmouth Yellowfish within anybody's grasp.
